Media mogul Ted Turner was rushed to the hospital early this morning while visiting Argentia, reportedly suffering from appendicitis.
The 75-year-old tycoon, who famously founded CNN and Turner Broadcasting System, was diagnosed at a clinic in the town of Bariloche, and then then flown to Buenos Aires to undergo surgery.
According to Turner’s spokesman, Phillip Evans, Turner is currently hospitalized and under observation but didn’t offer any further information.
“Given it is our policy not to comment on his personal health, no further details will be provided,”; Evans said in a statement released to CNN and other news outlets.
Turner was married to Oscar-winner Jane Fonda for 10 years until the couple split in 2001.
