A new television series documenting the final days of Michael Jackson is being executive produced by filmmaker J.J. Abrams.
The series is being adapted from a new book titled “Before You Judge Me: The Triumph and Tragedy of Michael Jackson’s Last Days”. The book will be published on Tuesday. Abrams will be working on the adaptation with the co-author of the book, TV and radio host Tavis Smiley.
Smiley’s company has confirmed that Warner Bros. Television is on board with the project. No date or network has been announced for the series’ premiere.
Jackson died in June 2009 following an overdose of sedatives. He was on the brink of a career comeback.
