Dr. Oz is facing criticism after his production team edited out a racy comment made by Donald Trump.
Trump appeared on “The Dr. Oz” show on September 15, and greeted his daughter, Ivanka, with a kiss when she joined her father for the interview.
According to NBC’s Peter Alexander, Dr. Oz remarked, “it’s nice to see a dad kiss his daughter,” to which Trump replied, “I kiss her every chance I get.”
But the blunder never made it to the final cut of the show, causing journalists who attended the taping to call out the Dr. Oz and his producers.
“The Dr. Oz show edited out Trump’s comments on kissing daughter Ivanka as often as possible,” Bloomberg health’s Michelle Cortez remarked.
The banter isn’t the first time Trump has joked about his daughter publicly. In March of 2006, the Republican presidential candidate told “The View” co-hosts, “I’ve said if Ivanka weren’t my daughter, perhaps I’d be dating her.”
Last September, Trump also famously told Rolling Stone: Ivanka is “really something … what a beauty, that one…If I weren’t happily married and, ya know, her father…”
