Regardless of whether Melania Trump becomes the next First Lady or former Commander in Chief Bill Clinton becomes America’s first “First Gentleman,” there’s no denying that talk show viewers are going to miss Michelle Obama when she exits the White House in January.
We’ve seen her perform “mom dancing” with Jimmy Fallon on “The Tonight Show”, hilariously threaten viewers if they don’t eat their vegetables on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and go shopping at a drugstore with Ellen DeGeneres, and on last night’s edition of “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” provided a hilarious response to Melania Trump’s appropriation of her speech during the Republican National Convention.
Does she have any sympathy for what Donald Trump’s better half went through, Colbert asks, after it was revealed that she lifted huge chunks of Obama’s speech verbatim?
“Yeah, that was tough,” the First Lady said with mock seriousness before breaking into a big grin.
“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on Global; you can also watch full episodes online.
