Bill Murray is bringing his “Caddyshack” days to life and launching his own golfing apparel line.
The actor, who turns 66-years-old today, has teamed up with Resignation Media, the parent company behind entertainment website TheChive.com, and his brothers to create William Murray Golf, a “new lifestyle and apparel brand” that aims to reflect his unconventional relationship with the beloved sport.
According to the William Murray Golf website, the new golf apparel line will include a combination of “golf polos, button-ups, golf shorts, hat and t-shirts.” As the site explains, [This is] the perfect style on or off the course, straight from the mind of the world’s most irreverent golfer, Bill Murray.”
While Murray has yet to release a formal statement about the brand, TheChive.com notes, “Bill and his brothers [John, Joel and Brian] have been an integral part of design process. Bill insisted the entire line be rooted in authenticity, right down to the Murray Family Tartan.”
The line, set for release online on Thursday, October 20, will feature an array of “solid coloured polos” in addition to more fun add-ons, including a polo with spilled whiskey glasses and a miniature golfer logo.
