‘Ghost In The Shell’ Teasers Show Scarlett Johansson As Major Motoko Kusanagi

Her casting caused controversy, but now fans are getting their first real look at Scarlett Johnasson in “Ghost In The Shell” in five just-released teasers for the film.

Based on the famous manga series, “Ghost In The Shell” follows half-human, half-cyborg Major Motoko Kusanagi as she leads an elite task force designed to eliminate the world’s most dangerous cyber-criminal terrorists.    Not much has been revealed in the way of the film’s plot, but Johansson’s casting as the Japanese cyborg sparked outcry with many decrying the whitewashing and declaring the part should have gone to an Asian actress.
