Samuel L. Jackson is the latest celeb to weigh-in on Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce.
“It’s life!”, the actor exclaimed during an appearance on “Good Morning Britain” on Thursday. “People carry on and people do what they do,” he said.
The actor, who starred in both “Johnny Suede” and “True Romance” with Pitt, added that there’s a perception of Jolie as a “wicked witch”.
“There’s a huge segment of America that still think what he did to Jennifer Aniston was just wrong and are overjoyed that the wicked witch lost her husband,” he continued. “There’s another segment that think it is sad and there’s a dissolution of another family. I don’t know why it’s everybody’s business, or why people care anyway.”
Jackson’s candid comments come one day after Marion Cotillard, the Oscar-winning actress and Pitt’s “Allied” co-star, addressed rumours she was partly responsible for the split. Cotillard posted on Instagram that not only was she not having an affair with Pitt on the set of their upcoming World War II drama, but that she is expecting her second child with her long-term partner Guillaume Canet, writing, “He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.”
