The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are kicking off Day 3 of their Royal tour of Canada with a visit to Bella Bella and the Great Bear Rainforest — the world’s largest temperate rainforest.
In true British fashion, the Duke and Duchess came looking stylish and prepared for wet weather. The couple arrived wearing matching navy sweaters, with Middleton topping her casual look with a belted Holland and Holland safari jacket, and earrings by Canadian designer Pippa Small.
Unlike previous plans suggested, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their two children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will not take part in an aerial tour of Bella Bella, and the scheduled boating event following the Queen’s Canopy announcement will not go on as planned.
Beginning at 1 p.m. PDT the Royal family will take part in the dedication of the Great Bear Rainforest at Elder’s Lodge, where they’ll take in remarks by the Governor General and Minister Jody Wilson-Raybould.
Soon after they’ll meet with Chief Slett and the B.C. Premier Christy Clark to unveil a plaque at the Great Bear Rainforest.
Follow along as the Royals make the best of their time in Bella Bella.
