In the wake of her high-profile divorce filings, People has confirmed that Angelina Jolie is still set to teach at the London School Of Economics next year.
Jolie will join the faculty as a visiting professor for a new masters’ program which is set to focus on women, peace and security. A spokesperson for the school confirmed that Jolie will retain her commitment to join the school.
“She is going to be a visiting professor next year, 2017,” the spokesperson says. “The post starts in September 2017.” The program begins accepting student applications this fall.
In June, the esteemed school released a statement citing Jolie as one of four visiting professors appointed to the new program “dedicated to developing strategies to promote gender equality and enhance women’s economic, social and political participation and security.” The program is housed at the school’s Centre For Women, Peace And Security which was launched in 2015 by Jolie and Britain’s former foreign secretary, William Hague.
Jolie will be expected to give guest lectures, contribute research to projects and participate in public and private events.
