Sarah Jessica Parker is setting the record straight about her supposed “Sex And The City” feud once and for all.
The “Divorce” actress sat down with Time magazine recently, where she expressed disappointment over false reports of a feud between her and former “SATC” co-star Kim Cattrall. “It was always so heartbreaking to me that there was this narrative about Kim and myself because it just didn’t reflect anything that happened on that set,” she told the publication. “They just didn’t do it to the “Sopranos” guys. It was so strange to me and upsetting.”
“I posted something on Kim’s birthday and people were like ‘Oh my God, I didn’t know you liked her!’ What? We were all at liberty to walk away at any time! But nobody asked those questions of shows with men. Isn’t that interesting?” Parker added, pointing out the media’s inherent sexism.
As for the potential for a third “SATC” movie, the actress neither confirmed nor denied the ongoing rumours of a reunion, but hinted that she is looking far beyond the high-heeled shoes of Carrie Bradshaw. “The last movie came out in 2010. It was 13 years of my life, give or take—how better to have spent a career?” she added. “And now it’s time for me to do something else.”
