January Jones has a message for her ex-boyfriend, Ashton Kutcher.
During an appearance on “Watch What happens Live”, the former “Mad Men” actress finally addressed rumours surrounding comments Kutcher made about her acting skills.
Back in 2009, Jones discussed her first L.A. boyfriend in an interview with GQ, who was later identified as Kutcher. “[He] was not supportive of my acting,” Jones told GQ at the time. “He was like, I don’t think you’re going to be good at this. So, f*** you! He only has nice things to say now— if anything, I should thank him. Because the minute you tell me I can’t do something, that’s when I’m most motivated.”
While on “Watch What happens Live” on Thursday, a viewer called in, asking the actress, “January, have you ever talked to Ashton Kutcher since he said you couldn’t act, and what do you think about his acting skills?” Caught off-guard, Jones responded, “Ooh, ouch!”
“I said that someone I had dated previously wasn’t encouraging of my acting—not that I couldn’t. I don’t know if that person had ever actually seen me act,” the “Last Man On Earth” star explained. “But the person who wrote the interview did the math and thought it might be him; I never really said who it was.”
She continued, “I haven’t talked to him. I’m super happy for him and his family,” adding, “to be political and all that.”
Host Andy Cohen chimed in, asking, “Was it him?”
Jones response came in the form of laughter, refusing to comment.
“Who knows?”, Cohen quipped.
