As anticipation builds for Netflix’s upcoming revival of “Gilmore Girls” in November, fans can celebrate the show’s “Gilmoreversary” on Wednesday, Oct. 5 by grabbing a coffee at Luke’s Diner, the iconic eatery in Stars Hollow.
To commemorate the anniversary — “Gilmore Girls” first premiered on Oct. 5, 2000 — Netflix is bringing four Luke’s Diner locations to Toronto, and one in Vancouver, where fans can drink strong coffee and, presumably, have a rapid-fire conversation peppered with pop-culture references.
“Decked out with all the Luke’s Diner essentials, fans will receive a free cup of coffee and a fun surprise under their custom ‘Gilmore Girls’ coffee sleeve,” notes Netflix in its announcement, urging fans to visit the TownofStarsHollow.org/Lukes website to find a location near you.
In Toronto, Luke’s Diner will set up shop at The Rolling Pin (3429 Yonge St.), Infuse Cafe (354 Yonge St.), Infuse Cafe (Gerrard Square Mall, 1000 Gerrard St E.) and Milano Espresso Bar (266 Adelaide Street W., Unit 2). Meanwhile, Vancouver fans can head to Trafiq Cafe & Bakery (4216 Main St.).
“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” will debut on Friday, Nov. 25.
