“Girls” star Zosia Mamet and “X-Men” actor Evan Jonigkeit tied the knot in spectacular fashion in New York City.
The private wedding ceremony took place on Sunday, October 2 – as confirmed by US Weekly. The bride’s hairstylist Tommy Buckett was first to break the news, showing off Mamet’s beautiful substitute for a classic veil on Instagram: “Sometimes you just don’t need a veil. Congrats @zosiamamet for being the girl that has never been traditional.”
The stylist told US that the bride was cool, calm and collected all day – leaving the fashion wizardry to Buckett: “She didn’t really know what she wanted until she saw some of those beautiful chocolate coloured flowers and suggested maybe we could use a few. I took it to the next level and added much more, adding pinks and greens. I did a few small braids to create a girly romantic Edwardian gothic feel to it. Once we had the base of the braids it only took 10 to 15 minutes to pin in the flowers. I pinned them in a few clusters so it wasn’t perfect or symmetrical at all.”
Mamet’s makeup artist also posted an in-progress look ahead of the night’s festivities.
The HBO star, who played Shoshanna Shapiro on “Girls”, acknowledged the wedding in an adorable Instagram post featuring two dapper ducks.
