After tragically losing his partner, Chris Hyndman, last year, Steven Sabados is moving forward, and part of that healing process includes returning to TV.
The former “Steven And Chris” host is back with the new daytime talk show, “The Goods”, alongside Jessi Cruickshank, Andrea Bain and Shahir Massoud.
“It’s a process,” the 51-year-old tells ET Canada of how he’s been coping since Hyndman’s death in August 2015.
Still, Sabados couldn’t be more excited to be on ” The Goods” panel. “[This] is a great part of my life to be in now, and I couldn’t ask for better company.”
Of course, his on-screen partners aren’t the only ones welcoming him back with open arms. Bain notes that the audience for the debut episode greeted Sabados with a standing ovation. “People brought signs!” she exclaims. “People were crying! Everyone was so excited to see him. It was the most heartwarming thing.”
While Sabados is known for his home decor expertise, Cruickshank serves as the pop culture and fashion guru, Bain acts as the resident love and wellness expert, and Massoud is the go-to food master.
“Every day, there’s a fish out of water,” the professional chef explains. “I might be the food guy and Jessi has no idea what’s going on, [or] Steven’s talking about design trends and I don’t know half the words he’s saying, but that’s kind of fun to watch!”
