It’s first time the Backstreet Boys have been in the studio since 2005 and they have a big announcement about a new album and tour. Joining Good Morning America via satellite from their recording studio in London on Tuesday, the ’90s boy band reveals they’ve reunited to create new music together.
“It’s our first time in the studio together, all five of us, since 2005,” says Howie Dorough. “We’re recording our brand new record right here in London.”All five members, including A.J. McLean, Kevin Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie and Brian Littrell, are living together while working on the new album. “We wake up. We have breakfast together. We’re not sick of each other at all,” says Nick. “It’s awesome. It really is. The vibe is fantastic.”
The quintet is working with producer Martin Terefe, who’s worked with Mary J. Blige, Train and Jason Mraz, on their new album. And they will give their first reunion performance all together on GMA on August 31.
