Every year… or at least for as long as I can remember, in mid-July there is a “little’ get together in San Diego called Comic-Con. And although it may have started as a comic book convention, it’s now described as the world’s “geek fest”; on steroids.
Imagine hundreds of thousands of fans dressed up as their favourite superhero, sci-fi character or movie star… seriously imagine.
Comic-Con is about the FANS. Thousands of people line up for panels to hear about the inner workings of their favourite shows and meet the stars. Networks and movie houses use Comic-Con to create buzz around upcoming projects, by showing unseen clips and revealing stories, plot lines and new casts.
Exciting stuff coming up!
Django Unchained is a movie about slavery days in the south, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Kerry Washington and others, directed by Quentin Tarantino – movie sounds banging.
The Man with the Iron Fists is RZA’s directorial debut after apprenticing with Quentin Tarantino for six years! A kung-fu flick by RZA, gonna be nasty!!
F**king Engaged I have no idea who’s in it, but based on how excited Jessica Biel was, I wanna see it! It’s about a couple who gets pressured into getting engaged and thinks that having sex everyday might help their relationship – ha!
