Jennifer Lopez is putting together a brand new all-Spanish album and Marc Anthony will be its executive producer.
The new Spanish album, JLo’s first in a decade, is set to release in 2017 as reported by Billboard. The former couple’s currently finishing up the album’s first single, slated for a November release.
Anthony also executive produced his former wife of 10 years’ previous top 10 album “Como Ama Una Mujer”. The “I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You” singer said of Lopez’s new work: “[Lopez] has had enormous accomplishments in her career and has been representing our culture all over the world from day one… Her artistry, professionalism and passion for music are just some of the many attributes that have earned her a unique place in the entertainment world that very few people have been able to obtain. I am looking forward to our creative collaboration and to be part of continuing her musical legacy.”
Lopez, 47, added in her own statement: “I am so excited and really looking forward to this new musical journey and to celebrate my Latin roots with Marc Anthony and the Sony/Magnus family.”
Global TV’s “Shades of Blue” star has collaborated with a number of Latin musicians over the past few years, including: Pitbull, Ricky Martin and Lin-Manuel Miranda. Season two of “Shades of Blue” premieres winter 2017.
