Adele Performs In Toronto Wearing A Blue Jays Jersey, Josh Donaldson Apologizes For Missing Her ‘Call’

Adele made Toronto fans proud on Thursday night when she took to the Air Canada Centre stage sporting a Blue Jays jersey.

The “When We Were Young” singer celebrated the Jays’ 10-1 American League Division Game 1 win against the Texas Rangers with a custom jersey that read “Adele 16” across the back.

Adele decked herself out in the Blue Jays garb during an encore performance of her hit “Rolling in the Deep”.

The show of support was applauded by the team, who shared the moment with MLB fans everywhere via Twitter. “Hello from the other side (of Bremner), @Adele!” the team tweeted.

Third baseman Josh Donaldson also took note of the “call” and replied to the British singer on Friday. “@Adele sorry I missed your call,” the much-beloved Blue Jay, who is currently in Texas awaiting Game 2, wrote. “I wasn’t home. #Hello.”

The Jays, who play home games at the Rogers Centre — a venue located down the street from the ACC — return to Toronto on Monday for Game 3 of their playoff matchup against the Texas Rangers.
