The Canadian actor took to Instagram, posting a touching tribute to a late “Deadpool” fan on his birthday — six months after succumbing to cancer: “My friend Connor McGrath would have been 14 years old tomorrow. He isn’t here now, but he stuck around long enough to make everyone he knew fall over laughing. Right up to the very end he was as quick with a joke as he was with a hug.”

Reynolds first met McGrath through the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the teenager was among the very first people to see “Deadpool” before it hit theatres.

The actor, 39, also shared photos and stories of McGrath on Facebook, talking about the pair’s mutual love for sarcasm and inappropriate jokes.
