An upcoming episode of “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” definitely seems to feature a nod to Donald Trump.
The long-running NBC show, which often features storylines inspired by real-life headlines, will air an episode later this month called “Unstoppable,” which guest stars Gary Cole as a politician whose “campaign goes haywire when several women go public with damaging accusations,” the network confirmed to ET on Tuesday.
With the 2016 election right around the corner, the episode reportedly underwent extra scrutiny from the network, and was delayed from its initially-scheduled Oct. 12 air date, according to Variety.
Meanwhile, Trump’s campaign, and NBC, have been dealing with the fallout from a leaked 2005 audio recording where Trump can be heard making disparaging comments about women, including ET host Nancy O’Dell, as well as bragging to then-Access Hollywood host Billy Bush about being able to sexually assault women due to his celebrity status.
Trump, who apologized for the comments, has repeatedly defended the recording as “locker room talk,” while NBC suspended Bush from his job as co-host of the “Today” show’s third hour on Sunday.
“Law & Order: SVU” “Unstoppable” episode airs Wednesday, Oct.26 at 9 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
