NBC Pulling Trump-Inspired ‘Law & Order: SVU’ Episode, Will Now Air After Election

The latest high-profile, ripped-from-the-headlines storyline on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” was to have dealt with a brash, controversial multimillionaire presidential candidate whose campaign is rocked by scandal when women start coming out of the woodwork to make damaging accusations against him.

Not only is that scenario playing out right this second with Donald Trump, it’s also the plot of an upcoming episode of “SVU”, with Gary Cole (“Veep”) playing a Trump-like candidate embroiled in a sex scandal in an episode that was to have aired on Oct. 26.

However, NBC has now decided to pull the episode from the schedule, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It’s not yet known when the episode will air, only that viewers won’t see it until after the Nov. 8 presidential election.

“I’m a handsome, charming millionaire — women throw themselves at me,” the candidate says in a new promo for the episode. “Know that I have nothing to hide.” Watch:
