Donald Trump is facing a bombshell accusation of sexual assault from a former “Apprentice” contestant, and this time his troubles can be summed up in two words: Gloria Allred.
The superstar attorney who represents numerous women accusing Bill Cosby of drugging and raping them held a press conference today to introduce Summer Zervos, who appeared on the fifth season of “The Apprentice” and claims Trump kissed and groped her without her consent at the Beverly Hills Hotel back in 2007.
This marks the first time that Zervos has spoken publicly about the incident, explaining during the press conference that it was the release of “Access Hollywood” tape and Trump’s flat-out denial that he had ever acted out on his macho boasting during Sunday’s debate that “hit a nerve” and spurred her to come forward.
In addition, notes The Hollywood Reporter, Zervos says “she feels like she was denied career opportunities because she refused to sleep with Trump.”
“Instead of a job, Ms. Zervos claims she got the Donald all over her, kissing her, touching her breasts, leading her into his bedroom,” Allred said during the press conference. “Donald, before you can become President of the United States, you must first learn to treat women with respect.”
Zervos outlined a meeting with Trump in his suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel. “As I was about to leave, he again kissed me on the lips,” she said. “This made me feel nervous and embarrassed, as this is not what I wanted or expected.”
Zervos, however, agreed to meet Trump a few days later in Los Angeles, still hopeful of landing a job with the Trump organization. She claims she was brought to a bungalow where she saw “Mr. Trump’s clothes” on the bed, alleging that Trump greeted her in “a sing-song voice” before emerging from a back room and immediately kissed her, “open-mouthed, pulling me towards him.”
Zervos then alleges that Trump kissed her once again, more aggressively, this time, putting his hand on her breast as she tried to push him away. “Come on man, get real,” she says she told him, more than once; Trump, she added, then repeated those same words back to her as he “thrust his genitals” against her.
According to Allred, there are two witnesses who can corroborate Zervos’ story, but she is not planning to launch a lawsuit. As for why she’s coming forward now, Zervos says: “I want to be able to sleep when I’m 70 at night.”
