Pamela Anderson journeyed to London to visit WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who’s been living within the Ecuadorian Embassy for the past four years, and brought him a vegetarian lunch after expressing concern for his health.
“I really believe in him and think he’s a good person, and I’m concerned about his health, his family, and I just hope that by some miracle he’s set free,” says the former “Baywatch” star of Assange, reports The Telegraph.
Assange, a native of Australia, is wanted by Swedish authorities for questioning over an allegation of sexual assault lodge in that country. Assange denies the allegation, however, stating his belief that if he does got to Sweden he will be extradited to the U.S. and face imprisonment over the activities of WikiLeaks.
In hopes of improving Assange’s well-being, Anderson brought along some vegan goodies for him. “I brought him a nice vegan lunch and some vegan snacks,” she said, jokingly adding: “He said I tortured him with bringing him vegan food.”
