U.S. President Barack Obama dropped by Global TV’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” on Monday night to pick between two “snack foods” amid the closely-contested Presidential campaign.
Colbert suggests healthy snacks may not be a crowd-pleaser, but could be far more nutritious than the spoiled alternative. The late night host explains that Obama could not officially endorse a candidate on network television, but he could endorse different snacks.
Colbert asked: “Would you care for an Extra-Fibre Nutrient Bar, which has travelled to more than 100 countries, or this shriveled tangerine, covered in golden retriever hair, filled with bile, that I wouldn’t leave alone with the woman I love?”
It was an easy answer for the current U.S. President: “I think I’ll go with the fibre nutrient bar.”
“The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m. ET/PT on Global.
