Michael Moore tweeted a very public invitation for fans to check out his new project “Michael Moore in TrumpLand”.
“Hey NYC – who wants to take a peek @ what I’ve been up to?” Moore tweeted along with a photo of U.S. Presidential nominee Donald Trump’s three children.
The tweet follows Moore’s announcement that his latest project will begin its theatrical run at the IFC centre on October 19.
Previously planned as a play to be performed at a central Ohio theatre and recorded for nationwide release weeks before the election, Moore explains how he was “banned” from presenting and filming the show because officials consider him too controversial. The theatre told The Columbus Dispatch the decision not to finalize the contract was based on several factors, including the short timeframe and questions about what the production involved.
Following up his theatrical release “Where To Invade Next”, which grossed $3.8 million worldwide, “TrumpLand” “dives right into hostile territory with [Moore’s] daring and hilarious one-man show, deep in the heart of TrumpLand in the weeks before the 2016 election.”
