It is finally happening, the visions of millennials everywhere are coming true with the announcement of a “That’s So Raven” spin-off.
On Thursday morning, Raven-Symone announced she is leaving “The View”, because of news only a young Raven Baxter could predict – a reboot of the “That’s So Raven” franchise: “It’s Raven Baxter. I’m still me. I’m still Raven… but I’m going to be a mother this time. I’m going to be a single mother raising two kids and one of them is going to learn that she has visions.”
The Disney Channel confirms the exciting news in a press release: “Raven’s brilliant style of fearless comedy was a driving force for Disney Channel’s success around the world. Her performance in ‘That’s So Raven’ is timeless. We now have our eyes on the future with her and we’re looking forward to telling more stories for a new generation with an adult Raven Baxter raising her young family.”
The spin-off is still very early in development. Raven-Symone, 30, will be a star and executive producer for the series and a casting search for young talent is expected to take place soon.
The star’s last day on “The View” will be later this year.
