John Mayer says he’s open to working with his former flame Katy Perry – if the perfect project comes along.
“If the right song came around, you know,” the singer tells E! News. “I look at great musicians—you write the right song, you send it to somebody, but I don’t have anything in mind at the moment.”
Mayer and Perry had an on-and-off-again relationship between 2012 and 2015. A future single wouldn’t be the first time the pair will have recorded music together. Back in 2013, Perry joined Mayer on the track “Who You Love”.
Both halves of the former couple were in attendance at Drake’s 30th birthday bash in Los Angeles over the weekend, along with Mayer’s other ex and Perry frenemy Taylor Swift. No word on whether Perry’s current beau, Orlando Bloom, joined her for the occasion.
