British Vogue is facing heated criticism from its readers after it declared cleavage and push-up bras as passe.
In the newest issue of the Fashion Bible, writer Kathleen Baird-Murray asserts that “the t***s will not be out for the lads. Or for anyone else, for that matter.”
Vogue also notes that “the Wonderbra is no longer the frontrunner of department store sales lists and even the corset has had a cleavage-free makeover at Prada.”
A preview of the article, titled “Desperately Seeking Cleavage”, has since propelled many to cry out against the piece on Twitter. “@BritishVogue @KathleenBM really? Every body shape will always be in fashion. Stop giving us girls a complex on our image,” one user responded to their poll.
Another reader, meanwhile, tweeted: “@BritishVogue @KathleenBM who the f*** cares? What century are we living in again? I’ll wear what I damn well please.”
