Showtime has just released the first trailer for the upcoming sixth season of “Homeland”.
The new season sees a change of scenery for Carrie Mathison who moves to New York City from Germany to take on a position with a foundation providing aid to Muslims living in the U.S.
The season will take place in the months between the U.S. presidential election and inauguration day in January. “It’s a strange, transitional time in the halls of government filled with anxiety and different competing interests, where a very fragile and complex transfer of power takes place between the outgoing president and the incoming president-elect,” the clip’s description reads.
With a remix of Phil Collins’ “In The Air Tonight” playing in the background, the new trailer, released on Friday, hints at the tension viewers will be eager to unravel come January 15, 2017, when new episodes begin premiering on Showtime.
