A man charged with stalking Taylor Swift and harassing her family has been arrested in Texas.
39-year-old Frank Andrew Hoover has been arrested for allegedly following the “Shake It Off” singer and hounding her family for months, according to TMZ. The Austin Police Department reports that Hoover had been harassing the Swift family since August, leading up to her October 22 concert in Austin. Following the concert, he allegedly followed Swift’s motorcade to the airport where a private jet was waiting for the singer and her parents. Swift’s bodyguards told the police Hoover asked to “accompany Taylor wherever she goes.”
The October incident isn’t the first time Hoover has allegedly scared Swift.
Back in August, Hoover began sending concerning emails to Swift’s father, which include lines such as, “Without her, I walk the earth alone forever and she’ll continue to experience failed relationships that break her heart.”
Following the emails, Swift was quick to put a protective order in place requiring Hoover to stay more than 500 feet away from her. Hoover’s Thursday arrest comes after he repeatedly broke the requirements of the protective order, a felony offense, according to police. He is currently being held on $100,000 bail.
