‘Silicon Valley’ Stars Harassed By Trump Supporters In L.A. Bar: ‘We Can’t Let Hate/Racism/Bigotry/Sexism Be Normalized’

“Silicon Valley” stars Kumail Nanjiani and Thomas Middleditch took to social media to share an unsettling encounter they had at an L.A. bar when a pair of Trump supporters took issue with some Twitter comments Nanjiani made about the president-elect, leading to threats of physical violence against the actors.

In Twitter accounts from the stars, they describe being approached by two “white dudes,” who identified themselves of fans of the HBO comedy, adding that they took issue on their political views, trying to get them to engage in a discussion of why Trump is the rightful winner.

When Nanjiani asked if they could talk about something other then politics, the discussion became heated as the men called them a derogatory term — “cucks” — and then asked them to “go outside” and settle things, presumably with fists.

“This happened at a bar in LA surrounded by people,” writes Nanjiani. “I can’t imagine what it must be like to be someone who looks like me in other parts.”
