Nadya “Octomom” Suleman apologized on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday for those she may have hurt. She says she’s hoping to make amends and turn a new leaf over, apologizing for her thoughtlessness in the past.
For Suleman, walking in on one of her daughters playing “stripper” in her own clothes was the moment she realized she had to change her life. “My daughter put on these heels and she was strutting around in them and that was it,” she said. “That was the moment when I said, ‘I’d rather be homeless in a van with all my kids than to allow any of my girls to feel that they’re not worthy enough.'”
The mother who famously gave birth to eight children via in-vitro fertilization, wept about her mistakes, like stripping and for her sex tape. “I wasn’t me and I’m sorry. I’m sorry for anyone I hurt out there. I look back in retrospect, and I would never say I regret not one of my children. They are why I live,” she admitted.
While she regrets doing what she did, she says she was just trying to put food on the table: “Some of the things that I have done – of course that I’m ashamed of in the past – was just to put food on the table and just to take care of my family.”
