One word that is rarely used to describe Lady Gaga is “predictable,” as she demonstrated once again on Friday when she dropped into a New York City-area centre for LGBTQ youth to deliver an impromptu performance of “Perfect Illusion” for the star-struck teens, reports iHeartRadio.
Gaga’s visit proved to a a thrill for the kids at the Ali Forney Center in Brooklyn (the same place where Madonna likewise dropped by on Thursday), and she also spent some time speaking with the teens, many of whom are estranged from their families because of their sexuality.
“I’m here today not because I had to excruciatingly pull time out of my schedule to come be here,” Gaga said. “I’m here because I want to be here. And I’m here because I want this to affect other people around the world, and to remind them that when they are kind, it not only makes the other person feel good, but it makes me feel good too.”
Gaga topped off her visit by performing her hit “Million Reasons” and then taking the kids on a Black Friday shopping spree.
