Dave Matthews And Neko Case Perform ‘The Maker’ In Support Of Pipeline Protesters

Dave Matthews, Tim Reynolds and Neko Case performed a beautiful rendition of “The Maker” at a benefit concert for protesters of the Dakota Pipelines.

Matthews organized and headlined a show in Washington, as reported by Rolling Stone, to raise money amid the high-tension rallies at North Dakota’s Standing Rock Indian Reservation. The 49-year-old singer and his longtime collaborator Reynolds invited Case up on stage for a stunning performance of “The Maker”.

And speaking of musicians supporting the protests, Neil Young and his girlfriend Daryl Hannah recently joined the protests: posting a video and penning a letter: “We are calling upon you, President Barack Obama, to step in and end the violence against the peaceful water protectors at Standing Rock immediately.”
