At 84, Loretta Lynn’s country career is still going strong, and her sense of humour has yet to let up either.
The music icon poses with her family in the newest issue of People where she lets readers in on her first hit of marijuana.
“I got glaucoma and they gave me one of these cigarettes,” she reveals to the magazine. “I took one smoke off of it and it hit me right here in the chest. I like to have died! Glaucoma is just going to have to take over.”
Despite her issues with glaucoma and a terrifying fall that landed her in the hospital last August, Lynn continues to tour, write new songs and release albums like her latest “White Christmas Blue”.
“They tell me to rest all the time,” Lynn says. “But I’m not tired!”
