She may be an Oscar-winning actress now, but Natalie Portman was once a member of a kids pop group.
The “Jackie” star was on “Late Late Show With James Corden” when he surprised her and fellow guest Annette Bening with a clip of a 9-year-old Portman singing as part of World Patrol Kids, a pop group who performed songs about the environment.
“We would perform at Earth Day at the UN Plaza,” Portman says, before Corden reveals he has a video clip. “I was really dorky, okay,” the actress laughs.
Portman quickly goes from embarrassed to horrified when Corden reveals he has a clip. The actress spends most of the time doubled over in laughter as she watches herself sing about meadows, corn, grass and wheat.
With Portman’s singing talents unveiled, Corden may have found his next “Carpool Karaoke” guest.
“Does it have to be climate change-based?” he inquires about her singing preferences.
“Only environmental topics,” Portman replies.
