Selena Gomez is back to making music, according to songwriter and musician Justin Tranter.
In a photo shared to the recording artist’s Instagram page, the 24-year-old pop star was seen applying eyeliner with a compact mirror in what looked to be a recording studio. Tranter, who has worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Justin Bieber and Gwen Stefani, captioned the photo, “Music and love.”
Making new music marks a big step for Gomez, who has spent the past three months in a Tennessee rehab facility seeking treatment for “anxiety, panic attacks and depression” caused by her battle with Lupus. In late August, the singer revealed she was taking a break from the limelight, cancelling 34 remaining performances on her Revival world tour.
While Gomez made her first public appearance at the 2016 American Music Awards since taking a step away, this is especially exciting news for fans, including Nick Jonas. The “Close” singer showed his excitement for his ex, commenting on the photo with a praise emoji.
