A new superstar emerged on the red carpet of Sunday’s Golden Globe Awards, and she’s an eight-year-old cancer survivor who delightfully charmed the stars who met her as she took their photos.
Juanita Hernandez was diagnosed with cancer when she was in kindergarten, notes the Golden Globes website. Her mother, as a way to keep her mind off her treatment, got Juanita involved with the Pablove Foundation, which partners cancer-stricken youngsters with instructors who tutor these young “Shutterbugs” in photography.
Now in remission, little Juanita took her photography skills to the red carpet for this year’s Globes, marking the first time she had ever photographed a celebrity. Judging by photos shared on Twitter, she proved to be a natural, chatting up stars such as Kerry Washington, Ryan Gosling, Amy Adams, Jeff Bridges and others who happily posed for photos with her.
