The Weeknd’s cool new music video for “Reminder” is a star-studded affair.
The Canadian star’s music video is a braggadocios ode to the lifestyle he’s achieved through his fame. Dropping the new video on his birthday, “Reminder” first introduces rapper A$AP Rocky — with whom the Weeknd drives through a tunnel in a red convertible.
Next up is fellow Toronto-sensation Drake, whom the “Starboy” singer flaunts for the camera on what seems to be the balcony of a luxury home. The video, directed by Kid Studio, also features The Weeknd and French Montana in front of a jet, plus copious amounts of fire with heat rivalled only by how hot the track is.
Other stars spotted in the video include Travis Scott and YG. The new visuals follow videos for “Party Monster” and “Starboy”, as well as the short film “Mania”.
These are busy times for the Scarborough-native, 27, riding on the success of his new album and performing with Daft Punk at the 59th annual Grammy Awards at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. He is currently preparing to perform across the planet for phase one of his “Starboy” Legend of the Fall world tour.
The tour kicks off on Friday, Feb. 17 in Stockholm, Sweden. It first rolls into Canada for an Apr. 25 date in Vancouver, before working four back-to-back Canadian dates in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City in late May.
