Jessica Biel’s return to television has her wondering why she would kill in the first trailer for USA Network’s close-ended drama, “The Sinner”.
Biel’s character, Cora, is a young mother who commits a horrific murder after experiencing an inexplicable fit of rage. Tasked with the mysterious case, detective Harry Ambrose (Bill Pullman) becomes completely fascinated by the murder as he searches for the motive behind the killing.
“I think there’s something wrong with me,” Biel’s character says in the trailer.
Former “Girls” star Christopher Abbott also stars next to Biel as her husband, Mason.
Biel also serves as a producer on the series, which is based on the best-selling novel of the same name. “The Sinner” premieres on USA Network this summer.
In other Biel-related news, the star’s better half, Justin Timberlake, is back in the studio and working with his former NSYNC collaborator Max Martin on new music, he recently revealed. Timberlake proudly shared the news on Thursday at a screening of “Trolls” in Los Angeles. “I’ve known Max for years and then to include [‘Can’t Stop The Feeling’ co-writer] Shellback in the process… we literally came from the studio tonight to come to this Q&A,” Justin said. “And we’re going back after this. There’s a ton of music that we’re making right now and I’m just so excited about it.”
The “SexyBack” singer previously teamed up with Martin to create the chart-topping NSYNC hits “Tearing’ Up My Heart”, “I Want You Back” and “It’s Gonna Be Me”.
