Dame Helen Mirren Fronts L’Oreal Paris And Prince’s Trust Self-Worth Campaign

Dame Helen Mirren joins other notable faces in a new campaign championing self-worth.

As part of their new partnership, L’Oreal Paris and The Prince’s Trust have announced the launch of their All Worth It program, a three-year effort to provide up to 10,000 young adults across the United Kingdom with confidence training both online and in-person at 18 specialized centres.

For the program’s video campaign, Mirren unites with a pregnant Cheryl Cole, in addition to 13 other ambassadors, including Katie Piper, Marcus Butler and Louisa Johnson, who also share their stories of fighting self-doubt in a series of short films.

“Overcoming self-doubt is a journey,” Mirren says in a statement to The Prince’s Trust. “We have a responsibility towards this generation to lead by example in what we say, how we act and what we do. I wholeheartedly support this initiative.”

According to a survey by the trust, one in three young people in the U.K. don’t believe in themselves, leading to an astounding 42 per cent of youth who are uneducated or unemployed. The new initiative will address issues of body language, communication, employability, and relationships.
