John Legend’s Twitter account was briefly taken over by a hacker on Friday, with the “All of Me” singer later expressing admiration for the “vulgar and kinda hilarious” tweets issued through his account by the hacker.
On Friday night, Legend issued a pair of anti-Trump tweets, referring to America’s 45th president as “the Liar-in-Chief” before tweeting that “someone just hacked my account.”
Minutes later, a series of bizarre tweets (which he has since deleted) issued from Legend’s Twitter account. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the tweets continued Legend’s Trump-bashing, albeit in a far less dignified manner.
“I can not stand by and be silent. @realDonaldTrump, you’re a bitch ass [N-word] and if I see you, I’m stomping your s**t you f***ing cheetoh,” read one tweet, another suggested Hillary Clinton perform a sexual act, while other tweets referenced drugs and strip clubs.
One tweet, however, saw the hacker out him or herself:
That Twitter user, @Owen755, then issued a tweet that read simply, “That was fun,” before the account was suspended.
After regaining control of his account, Legend tweeted: “I’m back. My hacker was vulgar and kinda hilarious. I’ll try to be funnier from now on so he won’t feel the need to ghost write for me.”
Legend also clarified that he “would never threaten violence to the President. No matter how much I wish he would go away,” and also joked that he wouldn’t call Trump a Cheeto “because I enjoy Cheetos.”
