The first female player to win a duel and return to the island on “Redemption Island”, Andrea Boehlke is hoping that whatever is coming for the castaways this time, there are no islands involved.
“It’s so surreal to be asked back for a third time,” she tells Erin Cebula. “I wasn’t really expecting it, but when I got the call, of course, game mode right away”.
Boehlke was a prominent member of the “Stealth R Us” alliance in both her seasons, but fell victim to it due to her aggressive gameplay. Happy about her fresh start this season, Boehlke says she’s excited to play without it.
“It’s kind of a relief I get to play without that ‘Stealth R Us’ shield,” she says, “which I’m very excited for.”
And speaking of this season, the castaway is ready for whatever twist Jeff Probst will be throwing her way.
“I think there’s definitely going to be a huge twist,” she tells Erin. “I mean, this season is called ‘Game Changers,’ there’s going to be a big change in the game.”
“I don’t know what that is. I don’t think it’s going to be Redemption Island, I don’t think it’s going to be Exile Island — we’ve already seen that. So I think there’s going to be something that they throw at us that we’ve never seen before on ‘Survivor’.”
To find out what that “twist” is, tune in to the premiere of “Survivor: Game Changers” on Global, March 8.
