Post Tribal: The ET Canada ‘Survivor: Game Changers’ Podcast – Episode 1: Ciera And Tony

The 34th season of “Survivor” kicked off this week with a bold new “Game Changers” format, bringing former castaways back to the jungle for another chance at outplaying, outlasting and outwinning their way to the million-dollar prize.

In the season premiere — which was also the show’s landmark 500th episode — fans saw Ciera Eastin watch helplessly as Jeff Probst snuffed out her torch.

Ciera joins Erin Cebula and Parvati Swallow to explain what went wrong on the first “Post Tribal” podcast of the new season, and she has plenty to say about her feelings on her fast exit.

“It sucked!” Ciera says of being the first castaway sent home in the “Game Changers” season.”It’s the worst feeling ever… it totally blows.”

Parvati describes Ciera as “one of the strongest female players” in recent memory — and asks how she didn’t see it coming.

“Honestly, I feel like my game was thrown out there. So it’s not like I was completely in shock, but Malcolm wanted nothing to do with me,” she says. “I really did try. But man, I don’t even know what happened.”

Also hitting the bricks in the season premiere was Tony Vlachos — whom we first met in season 28, “Survivor: Cayagan” — whose torch got snuffed after a devastating betrayal caused his alliance to blow up in his face.

The New Jersey police officer spoke with Erin and Parv, opening up about Sandra’s role in his demise. So what happened?

“The queen bee stung me!” jokes Tony to Erin and Parv. “I went head to head with the queen, that’s what happened. Everything was going great up til that point.”

Does he regret staging the confrontation with Sandra that led to his downfall? “No, I don’t regret that. I mean, the way it played out was, you know, we set up an alliance of five: it was we, it was Sandra, it was Aubry, Malcolm and Caleb, and it was golden.”

But not for long. When Tony overheard his supposed allies talking about him behind his back, he knew something was up.

“I tried to catch them off guard and I ran up to them and said, ‘Hey guys, what’s going on, what are you talking about?’ And then when I saw they were lying to me, I was like, ‘Aw man, they’re plotting against me.'”
