Kendall Jenner’s frightening run-in with her alleged stalker, Shavaughn McKenzie, is the focus of the latest “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” episode.
“I had someone break into my house,” Jenner told the camera. “I used to be the one who was so independent. I was always kind of by myself, in a good way, but now it’s like, fully flipped.”
As ET Canada previously reported, Jenner encountered a man waiting for her as she returned home on August 14 of last year.
“So I came home one night and there was a guy sitting on the side of my street, and I was like, ‘That’s so weird.’ He just looked like a homeless man,” Jenner recounted to Scott Disick and mom Kris Jenner. “I drove around and went into my house and I watched the gate close. I turned my car off, getting my stuff together. I’m about to open my door and look in my rear-view mirror and he was standing right there. In the gate, right behind my car.”
When the man told her, “I need to talk to you,” Jenner responded, “No, you need to leave.”
She continued, “I called one of my friends immediately…. I’m sobbing, crying. He was at my window, banging on my window, screaming at me.”
But the incident only grew increasingly daunting when the man started running after her as she backed out of her driveway. Luckily, her friends arrived in time to force the man to sit on the curb while they waited for police.
Jenner testified against the accused stalker on October 13 of last year, teling a jury that she’s “never been so scared.”
A temporary restraining order was put in place, which the presiding judge extended to five years. McKenzie was ordered to stay 100 yards away from the reality star at all times. He was also sentenced to 178 days in jail but was released from custody due to time already served.
Another criminal incident took place at Jenner’s home earlier this month when the model’s home was the scene of a burglary. Over $200,000 worth of jewellery was stolen from the premises.
