Brad Pitt is headed to Netflix with the new film “War Machine”. He not only stars in the movie, but he also acts as a producer.
On Thursday, Netflix dropped a new NSFW clip for the highly-anticipated David Michod film, which co-stars Tilda Swinton, Will Poulter, Topher Grace, Anthony Michael Hall and Sir Ben Kingsley.
The Netflix original film is based on the book The Operator: The Wild & Terrifying Inside Story of America’s War in Afghanistan, written by the late journalist Michael Hastings.
The movie streaming service released the full synopsis: “A pitch-black war story for our times, writer-director David Michod (“Animal Kingdom”) recreated a U.S. General’s roller-coaster rise and fall as part reality, part savage parody-raising the spectre of just where the line between them lies today. His is an absurdist look at a born leader’s ultra-confident march right into the dark hear of folly. At the story’s core is Brad Pitt’s sly take on one of the most polarizing war figures of a generation: successful, charismatic four-star General Stanley McChrystal, who leapt in like a rock star to command NATO forces in Afghanistan, only to be taken down by a journalist’s no-hold-barred expose.”
“War Machine” premieres May 26 on Netflix. Watch the NSFW trailer below. (Caution: language may offend some).
