Britt Robertson is a woman with a plan in the first trailer for Netflix’s newest original series, “Girlboss”.
Based on the international best-selling memoir by Nasty Gal fashion brand founder Sophia Amoruso, the new series will follow the entrepreneur’s rise through the fashion industry. Robertson stars as misfit Sophia, a fashion-loving young woman who got her start by selling vintage clothing on eBay, eventually building a multi-million dollar empire by age 28. The series will chart the unlikely businesswoman’s rise as she learns to cope with the ups and downs that come with being your own boss.
Produced by Charlize Theron, “Girlboss” comes with a script from “Pitch Perfect” writer Kay Cannon and features familiar faces including RuPaul, “Community” star Jim Rash and “Breaking Bad”‘s Dean Norris in supporting roles.
The 13-episode series lands on Netflix on April 21.
