It’s very hard to top last month’s “Wheel of Fortune” “A Streetcar Naked Desire” screw up. But on Tuesday’s episode of the game show, another contestant came pretty close.
Players were asked to solve a puzzle based on the category “living thing.” After no answers were cast the letters “_O_EYS_CK_E B_S_” were added to the board and finally a contestant thought she had cracked it. Except her response was very wrong.
Even with nine letters as a clue, the contestant could only come up with “popsicle bike,” which is definitely not a “living thing.”
Host Pat Sajak only responded with a confused “no…” then revealed the actual answer was “honeysuckle bush.”
Although “popsicle bike” was a doozy, “A Streetcar Naked Desire” still reigns supreme.
“Wheel of Fortune” wasn’t the only TV fail this week, in fact, one “Jeopardy!” contestant lost it all with a clue about the Toronto Raptors.
The game show showcased a “Sports Mascot” question for final “Jeopardy!” with the clue reading: “The animal on this NBA team’s primary logo peaked about 75 million years ago.”
Unfortunately for the player, who was actually in the lead heading into the final round, she bet all of her $17,200 with her answer, “what is a timberwolf?”
Both the other contestants answered correctly with the Raptors, who recently clinched a playoff spot for fourth year in a row, which is now a franchise record.
