Helen Hunt revealed which ’80s heartthrob she had the hots for as a teenager while appearing on “Watch What Happens Live” on Thursday.
When asked to “name someone [she] dated or had a crush on when [she was] a teen or young back in Hollywood that would surprise us,” the actress didn’t skip a beat and called out rock-pop singer Rick Springfield for failing to give her call.
“He wouldn’t date me, but I was madly in love with Rick Springfield,” she admitted. “I left a note on his car.”
As it turns out, the two stars frequented the same studio lot while Hunt filmed “It Takes Two” and Springfield starred as Dr. Noah Drake on “General Hospital”. Though she made the first move, Hunt was left heartbroken when he failed to call the then rising actress.
“I left it on his windshield,” she cringed, before adding, “and somehow he managed to not call me.”
“I was so in love with him, you don’t event understand,” a disappointed Hunt said.
