“Justice League” director Zack Snyder shares Henry Cavill’s first-ever costume fitting for “Man of Steel”.
Cavill’s costumes in “Man of Steel” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” modernized the classic Superman look made famous by Reeve. For example, the red underwear is nowhere to be seen and Kryptonian text is scrawled across the suit’s material.
Prior to casting Cavill, now 33, Snyder had to make sure the actor was cut from the same superhero cloth as his predecessor. The director recently shared an image of Cavill’s first costume test, during which he wore a replica of suit from the classic Christopher Reeve movies. “I knew when I saw him he was my Superman,” Snyder praised the actor.
Fans are eagerly anticipating a glimpse of the resurrected Superman after his absence from the most recent “Justice League” trailer. Will Cavill don a similar outfit to those seen in his previous films, a more old-school look or something altogether new?
